Immigration Appeal Division (IAD)
The Immigration Appeal Division (IAD) hears appeals involving immigration issues, such as:
- sponsorship;
- removal orders;
- the residency requirement.
We can help if you have:
- sponsored a family member, and your application for permanent residence was rejected;
- you have received a removal order from the Immigration Division following an investigation or following questioning by an immigration officer;
- you applied for a permanent resident travel document at a visa office abroad, and your application was refused;
- you have received a decision from the Immigration Division that you must leave Canada or a decision in which you can remain in Canada but in which the Minister has appealed this matter.
